Harlingen in Northern Holland
S/Y Twizzle was launched in Harlingen in Northern Holland on 12 July 2010, where it underwent commissioning, snagging and sea trials. S/Y Twizzle was handed over and delivered on 3 September 2010 and then left Holland for the Isle of Man.
Although Harlingen is on the sea, it still takes nearly 2 hours to pass through the complex bouyed channels to pass the West Frisian Islands and into open sea. Harlingen is a fishing and industrial port and is where large sailing yachts are commissioned in Holland as it is close to the various shipyards, allowing commissioning work to take place easily.
