A truly State of the art 57.5m sailing yacht, boasting the latest technology.

Twizzle is a 57.5 metre ketch which is being constructed at Royal Huisman Shipyard. Many observers believe that this was the first Dubois design to be built at Royal Huisman but in fact it is the second - the first was a 41’ (13m) racing yacht designed by Ed in 1978! Ed was then 25 years old and the yacht, Winsome Gold, was a nice success.

A centreboard yacht, Twizzle has a single engine with relatively shallow draft and good stability from a generous beam and a good ballast ratio.

A large sail area will ensure this yacht's good performance and we see the concept and the project as a whole as being one of the most exciting sail boats in construction today.

In the case of the new Twizzle, the layout and superstructure design is, uniquely, not the responsibility of the Dubois office but instead was developed by Redman Whiteley Dixon. Happily, the close relationship that we have with RWD allowed us to develop the naval architecture around that overall concept and build on the experience we gained with the 53.5 metre Nirvana - launched in late 2007.
